Week 39 - No Action Yet
This week has been all about wrapping things up and squeezing in as many kid-free activities as possible!
As for work, my back-fill was identified so it's been great to get her on-boarded and leave me feeling like all the loose ends there are getting tied up.
Outside of work, this week was pretty fun and eventful. Tuesday night I went to see the Michael Jackson Cirque du Soleil Show at the Target Center with some coworkers (we won a raffle at work), and kicked it off with a happy hour downtown at Solera (my ol' stompin' ground). Then on Wednesday, I enjoyed a delicious dinner out with Jenny at Pizza Lola. Needless to say I was exhausted by Friday, but I am grateful for these last few days before Super Tiny comes!

Week 38 and Feeling Great!
This week has been a breeze! I keep feeling like I can't possibly be so close to the end of this pregnancy because I am not feeling miserable. I know I am insanely lucky, and I am thanking God everyday that the past 9 months have been as great as they have (with only a few minor hiccups!).
My doctor appointment this week was a little more promising, we've got a little bit of action going on (I will spare you the details) - which even though they say it "is not indicative of anything", is still nice to hear. The one detail I will share is that the doctor said she could feel his head! Which was both amazing because 1. he's close, and 2. he has a head! I know I should realize by now that there is a real human being in my belly, but it always amazes me. Just imagine my awe and surprise when he actually comes out!
The plan for the next few weeks is to keep working and to try to get as many DINK (dual income no kids) activities in as possible. This weekend we are excited to host our final kid-free dinner club, and tomorrow we are going to indulge in a screening of Hunger Games and watch the 2 hour season premier of Mad Men. This will likely be one of the last times we will watch uninterrupted TV, and we are going to relish it!

Holy Belly Batman
37 weeks pregnant and I am barely showing! (Insert sarcastic tone here)
We are officially full term this week and little Super Tiny can safely come whenever he's ready. Unfortunately, I don't think he's in much of a hurry. I go back to the doctor this Wednesday so we'll see if he has progressed at all.
Seeing myself and my comical belly just really makes me wonder how anyone could ever not know they were pregnant. Not only that, but how are there so many women that have gone 9.5 months without so much as a suspicion, such that they have an entire show dedicated to this phenomenon?

Beer Me!
Well in case you haven't heard, it's summer in March here in Minneapolis! Today was sunny with temps north of 76. Todd and I celebrated this amazingly wonderful Spring day by coming home early from work, going on a walk, grilling some steaks, and enjoying a few "beers" in front of the Michigan basketball game.
I could get used to this. Hopefully the weather continues like this all through my maternity leave!

Week 36 Brought Highs and Lows
So this past week was a bit rough. Todd and I were struck with either food poisoning or the stomach flu on Monday. And unfortunately, I am still fighting off the lasting effects of it! That means I am on the "BRAT" diet. Only bananas, rice, applesauce and toast for me, until I can finally turn the corner.
However, this week wasn't all sour notes. I was lucky enough to have my coworkers throw yet another shower for Super Tiny! The turn out was amazing, I could not have asked for a more supportive work environment. The best part, beyond the yummy cake and generous gifts, was that my manager compiled a list of parenting advice from all of my coworkers and whipped up a hilarious power point that he presented at the shower.
Check out the delicious cake, and a quick pic of the growing bump!
Shower Cabin Weekend
The love for baby Sarbaugh continued last weekend, when my wonderful and generous friend Emilie hosted a shower for Super Tiny up at her parents' cabin.
6 of us girls had a great time, relaxing, drinking (well, not me, but the other 5 girls!), reading magazines, playing games, chatting, and hitting up the local watering hole.
I really love traveling with other girls, everything is always organized and thought through. And don't even get me started on how well we always seem to eat!
Above is a picture of the the view from the cabin's "tree house", and the one below is of us girls piled in to Emilie's car getting heading to "Ye Ole Pickle" for drinks, apps and pull tabs!
